Just for fun, I put in an order to short 1,000 shares, with the Dow down 50 or so. CPQ was up against the 200-day EMA at 28 and did not seem to be making headway. I'm only sorry that I did not go short earlier in the day. (Thought about it, but in the discussion with my broker, we dropped the idea.)
Meanwhile, I remain short the June S&P future. It was having an inside day until about 3pm, when it suddenly broke to the downside.
Dow now down 73, after being -95 a few minutes ago. I'm not optimistic about most tech stocks here and, IMO, we are just starting the second part of the downleg.
