The "vision" of this thing (or what's being marketed") is a seemingly open high bandwith pipe that carrys voice, data, everything. It's like electricity, or natural gas lines coming into the home. It's always connected and you don't have to ring up anything to get the connection, you just plug in a use it (like an appliance into a wallsocket), and pay by the "bit", not by time.

Now can you see 3 or 4 PC's online and surfing the net, and MOM and SIS gabbing on the phone at the same time, anytime of day or night?

OVER ADSL? over 1 (two wires: red and green) "phone line"? And I buy this "thing" at radio shack?

When was the last time anyone was at radio shack? Hmm..............
