Orbital's ability to meet the year 2000 European Stage 3 emissions regulations combined with a demonstrated 15% fuel economy
improvement has created extensive European interest in the application of OCP technology to the conventional four-stroke
automotive engine. Orbital is involved in engineering programs to demonstrate the technical capability of the technology with six high
profile automotive customers. Several customers are well advanced with technical programs and have progressed to the discussion
of commercial terms. The recent Letter of Intent combined with the existing Synerject alliance (with Siemens Automotive) is a critical
factor in the development of this market."

Remember the above statement that appeared in the semi-annual report published in February? Well I decided to find out what the status is with the negotiations. I called OE and asked if the discussions have progressed since the last report. I asked if any of the talks fell by the wayside. The answers to my questions were that the commercial discussions are not only continuing, they have progressed and none have fell by the wayside. In fact, OE is preparing to issue an announcement fairly shortly, however, a date could not be mentioned. None of these words are quotes, but the response to my questions were as positive as they can be. If you are a long term investor, sit back, watch the tape, and when the news hits, I'll bet you a cold glass or Aussie beer that you'll know about it. I like my beer in a tall beer glass, preferably draft.
