Hi Seth. This is a good time to get this going, with the anticipation building toward Saturday's Belmont. What do you think? Can Real Quiet pull it off? It's about time for another Triple Crown winner, although the last two decades in which this happened, there were three in the decade. Let's see: during the 70's it was Secretariet--THE BEST, Seattle Slew and Affirmed. During the 40's, it was Citation, Whirlaway and ??? was the third Count Fleet? I'll have to look it up.
I thought Silver Charm should have gotten it last year--he's a game little colt. I went out to Santa Anita opening day this year specifically to see his first race since his injury. He finished second, after major traffic problems, with a magnificent stretch drive that was just a little bit short.
When I have time, I'll enjoy coming over here to see what's happening!

BTW: I have a true story that I like to remember occasionally, especially if I think I might need a little reminder about my true place in life. When I was in high school, I sang in a choir which made a two week trip every spring. One spring, we went through Kentucky and were in Louisville early Derby Week. Some guy who came to hear us sing was associated with Churchill Downs and got us into the stable area for a tour. I was standing about five feet from the edge of a walking path when one of the Derby hopefuls was walked by. Although I was standing still, just out of cussedness this colt sticks out his near hind leg and trips me. Before I hit the ground, three men at looking at that horse's foot! Sort of gives you a different perspective.
