CYBG's firewall has received several technical accolades..

Unfortunately, I don't know anyone who uses a Cyberguard firewall. There's the problem - it's a lousy business. I don't think there's much of a future in the firewall business anyway...the field is swamped with stronger competitors (e.g. Checkpoint), and these sorts of products will be in far less demand with the release of NT 5.0.

There has been some "growth" in sales, but I wouldn't exactly be turning backflips over the fact that they sold a few HUNDRED more units this year.

The company - recognizing this - has attempted to branch out into e-commerce software and digital certificates. However; they are running into the exact same problem - far stronger competitiors. The company simply does not have the resources to establish a strong presence in this fast-moving and volatile market.

I see no reason why this stock should trade above 2 or 3 a share and I remain short.
