Cramer on TLAB and CIEN:

Random musings: I am not sure what to make of the Ciena-Tellabs deal but this is just the type of merger I have been railing against, a combination of two so-so companies that will now try to take on Lucent (LU:NYSE) and Cisco (CSCO:Nasdaq), stocks of which I am long.

So-so? Has TLAB's compounded annual return over the last 5 years been so-so?

Is CIEN being heralded:

1) the fastest start-up in history (zero revenues for most of '96 to over $500 million by the end of 1997).
2) the largest venture-backed IPO market cap in history (bigger than NSCP and AAPL)
-and-
3) still almost tripling in a little over one year since coming public ($23 IPO price ==> $64 at the high for today)

So-so????

Yeah right, Cramer. Are you a so-so fund manager?
