Barbara--I tried to explain--if you want to twist my words or assign your own meaning to them, I can't do anything about. The world is not balck and white--this is my understanding of the situation. It means you hold your overall position while selling the highs and buying the dips--not continuously but until you have most or your original investment back. Meanwhile you continue to support the stock. You don't take the profits and run to some new play--rather you put them back into the stock. I can understand if that does not meet your definition of holding.
