Partially relieving Eric B.'s responsibility may not be the good way to turn the company around. I was expecting Eric B's resignation. In the existence of Eric B. at the top, it will be hard for other top managers to make important decisions. Today's up moving may not be from the news about Eric B. I think it was mainly due to the short covering. After a month long decline, some of shorts are cashing in. I am still very bearish on 3Com in this year. The networking customs are looking for the products which may not need to upgrade in at least five years for the fast multiple communications in the future. But 3Com has no such promising products available yet. The cash in their hands may flow away very quick and the not selling products may bring them big inventories. Let's see what's going on in this quarter's numbers. If beating $0.18 and no warning for next quarter, 3Com should be maintained at low $20 level. Otherwise, dropping to teens looks quite possible. Good luck!
