My growth rate numbers come out of financial statements and the press releases that accompany them, and also from certain Gartner reports. The key is the "license" sales, out of which you can back out applications and tools revenues. You often have to dig to get the numbers to use, but they are there.

As far as the Illustra, consider web applications. One of the best examples is:

There are numerous others who will be able to use this, especially who do not use relational DB's now because they cannot store or search the kind of data they really want to use. Look at the list of announced datablades to see some of the kinds of analysis. One of the types that should be of most interest to you would be stock analysis based on time-series data. That datablade should be available within 6 month from a 3rd party.
