Opening up in Japan is very exciting news. Ive spent some time there and gambling is illegal, because gov. worries they'll all lose their money and they earn 1- 1.5 % interest in banks. I believe online trading will catch on there in a huge way. I wonder if E-trade is the first Online brokerage house to open up in Japan? Without very good Japanese connections it would be harder than in most countries to break in so I support E-trades latest move and think it to be a significant achievement that will pay off.
