Seth,
I will just say have fun and don't expect to make money at the sport of kings. A few years ago, actually many, when I didn't have the responsibilties I have now. A group of us went in on four young Harness horses (3 two year olds and a three year old) all with great breeding. To make a long story short, I had a great time with it and we lost $140,000 over the next three years (over what was won). If you can afford to lose or spend is a better word, that kind of money if not more. Then it is a good experience going to the backstrech in the morning or at racetime. Seeing and cheering your horse not just the one you bet on. I wish you luck in your trading of horse flesh. If you can get an Argentian brood mare called Bayakou then it is a good buy.
