Some folks feel that the Hang Seng is still overvalued even though it's still in a bear market. As for real estate, buildings are going up in mass production in the New Territory -- there must be fifteen or more skyscrapers rising just next door to me, although rental prices are moving down. Hong Kong is not a manufacturing heavy country -- transforming the economy towards finance and business more than 10 years ago. There is no similarity to Japan.

As you know, the HK dollar is pegged to US, which keeps the economy humming along for now, but raises concerns about the future. I think that unemployment is the highest here in 10 years, and there are few answers to fix this now.

If you have read "Atlas Schrugged" you may understand my thought on the future world markets.
