Like it or not, it was a good move for both Siebel and AC to hook up with one another in the beginning. Vantive and Aurum and Clarify and Scopus all had the opportunity to do something similar, but the idea didn't occur to them (or they decided to pursue other options). Vantive is (belatedly) trying something with REGI, but I don't know how well that will do. I have not been impressed by the REGI consultants I've seen. How about you?
