Buy if $116 is Option expiration peg - new OS plus more Server sales
PowerPC has a new OS from QNX which could be for IBM's "hand-held" devices (portable keypunches for midgets) and network devices :
" IBM, Motorola and NEC expressed their respective support for the introductions, which were announced at QNX's annual Technology Conference in San Francisco. The introductions closely follow the recent announcement by telecom giant Cisco Systems Inc. - which does not use Intel chips - that QNX will be its preferred provider of RTOSes. "
Not limited to INTC's platform , the Real Time Operating System will now be a PowerPC OS : edtn.com
Plus IBM is going to directly sell its Netfinity servers to businesses to increase sales :
" Under the new Netfinity Direct program, expected to be unveiled on Monday, Armonk, N.Y.-IBM (company profile) will begin orchestrating the procurement, service, and support of server products for select enterprise customers that insist on working directly with the vendor. " techweb.com
Why not ? Servers , once known as mainframes , are IBM's forte .
IBM is a buy below the $115-116 area , option peg looks to be < $116 .
