>>sick of this treating WCW revenues like it is a one time gain or something.

Yeah, "THQ Wrestling '99!" lol. I can see the kids asking for it by name. The truth is, the ONLY reason those games sold was BECAUSE they had WCW in huge letters on the box. (At least I presume it did; I never saw the box, lol). I can already picture that one in the $9.95 bin.

You can't open a hamburger joint and expect people to confuse it with McDonalds. I suspect 99% of the buyers of WCW would not know what THQ was if you asked them.

You can't replace these revenues as easily as you're trying to HYPE. If you could, every game company would have a wrestling game out by now. Also, how big do you think this wrestling pie is? I mean, you're already competing against ERTS next year (which is a losing battle). There are a lot of redneck wrestling fans out there with kids, but not enough to support 15 different games. Maybe that's what the market hates about THQ -- that they REFUSE to admit that the wrestling gravy train is GONE and they have nothing else in their pipeline to replace it. Rugrats? LOL! Investors are TERRIFIED THAT THQI IS GOING TO TRY TO COMPETE WITH WRESTLING GAMES FOREVER, because it worked ONCE! and gave them a nice, one time gain :)
