IF ANYONE MISSED IT- AT&T Begins Net-Telephony Trial
(from the WSJ May 26)

AT&T Corp. began a limited-market trial of its Internet telephony long-distance service in Atlanta. AT&T said the service, which costs $2 a month, offers long-distance calls within the U.S. for 8.5 cents a minute. Customers will prepay for the service in increments of $25, $50 or $100, using credit cards. The telephone giant said its Connect 'N Save service uses its Internet Protocol backbone network, offering a better-quality connection than typically found over the Internet. The company is also conducting the market trial of Connect 'N Save in Boston and San Francisco. While Internet phone calls account for less than a half of 1% of all telephone time, by 2003 they could make up 10% to 15% of the long-distance market, Jeffrey Kagan of Kagan Telecom Associates in Atlanta recently estimated.

.......so, what if ATT teamed up with DGIV to include the international arena??????
