You are 100% correct. I held WSTL for years, listened to Gary Seaman's rosy predictions of millions and millions of lines, dominos falling and "signed contracts" just pending customer announcement.
All lies... or gross exaggerations. WSTL is in the same league as HWP (Q looks good... oops, two days til earnings...we forgot we were discounting PCs) in my book. Liars are chronic. If they do it to the public and their shareholders, what in the world suggests that they are honest with their customers? At one time WSTL was the leader an ADSL, now dispite all the trials and other working agreements with major players, the big contracts went to others.
Now, with the ADSL market ready to explode, and so many major players such as Cisco, Lucent, Alcatel et al involved, who needs WSTL? Let them have whatever they have with Bell Atlantic. It won't be there next month, if history repeats itself. Screw them. |
