Al, PR varies from company to company, and announcement to announcement. For obvious reasons you would like to get news out when it is fresh. However, sometimes for not so obvious reasons a company may choose to hold a release (market conditions, recent bad news, etc.). In the case of Tava, it looks like they may have started to make a concerted effort toward boosting their image. From what I have seen they have never before made two consecutive announcements. This form of releasing can add even more credibility to the news, as long as it is not overdone. It may have also been done to boost the response of the upcoming road-show. Anyway, there is no set period for getting a Press Release out. I've had a newsworthy item in the past and been able to get it out in a day, and others had to sit on the shelf for weeks/months while waiting for approval from all involved. JSI
