PC, Digital Switch went bankrupt or close to it in the previous telecom cycle, which is why they changed their name to initials only. The company has a wonderful portfolio of products that will sell in the next upswing if they keep them current. I considered it a great takeover at a low price. But Alcatel did not pay a low price. It paid up big time to make sure the deal was friendly. Hey, a little hostility never hurt anyone. It was not like they were in a bidding war. If this is not going to impact eps, then they have some very sharp-penciled accountants. MB
