To the "thread,"

This morning Simula announced that it received a total of $ 60.5 million in firm orders and options during the months of April and May.

The orders break down with Commercial seating (principally airline seats) of $ 31.6 million, Government and Defense of $ 22.3 million, and ITS orders of $ 6.6 million.

I don't know if I am more impressed with the fact that orders are flooding in for airline seats *OR* firm ITS orders are running already at more than $ 3 million per month.

All in all, a good press release. The interesting question is why the company made the release, other than to spread "good cheer" to the shareholders?

My best guess is that the release has something to do with the fact that SMU will be going on the road to tell its story to institutions in a few weeks, and wanted to make this disclosure so that it could discuss trends in all those businesses (including new orders) with the varying institutions.

We are certainly going in the right direction. Now, if only we had a new ITS agreement!
