That's a bit of a head-scratcher...the article says that
there is a 10% over-supply, and then it says that a 12%
reduction in supply (if it is indeed that much) will
double prices.

Oh, that's right, if the Japanese fall in line as well. With a dollar buying more yen and Japanese goods every day, Japanese DRAM is getting cheaper, which means that DRAM buyers for whom price is king (and this is a commodity business) would try to do more business with Japan instead of Korea.

Hmmm, I wonder why Korea is cutting production to try to raise prices for everybody, and whether Japan will go along with it. :-)
