Wayne,
I was told that although it is possible to get a trunk-side T1, which is all digital, the normal case is that the line is provided from the line side of a central office as 24 analog lines to a channel bank. This has to do with tariffing. All I'm saying is that it throws some doubt as to what percentage of channelized T1s will be able to handle 56K. Maybe there's some network folks out there who could shed some light on this?
Fine, USR has been shipping PRI for a year. Ascend has had it since day one, which has been about 3 years.
Yes, I've heard reports of bugs in Ascend's products. Also in USR's, Cisco's, etc. And Ascend's products have also won awards, just like USR's have.
Good investing to you too.
