I think the market-share numbers in the press-release and in the pie chart are pretty bogus. It sounds remarkably like OTEXF is playing the game Saros used to play in the old days - double-counting and creating shared that didn't exist. Most people I talk to in the DM business never considered IDI strictly a part of the DM market. They were always considered more of a text database/search company, particularly in the mainframe days. I'm not discounting the benefits of any OTEXF/IDI merger but am just questioning the numbers. OTEXF's numbers are usually discounted by knowledgeable SIs and VARs.
