Kemble, I agree with your father -- but so what? If Dell increases eps at 40 - 50% per year and the stock valuation climbs with it I should complain???

Seriously, I think the past couple of years have witnessed a rethinking by the market about how to value DELL. I think that a few years ago many did not recognize the formidable manufacturing and marketing company that is Dell. So it is natural that it takes awhile for results to prove to these folks that Dell is not a flash in the pan. As understanding of Dell increased, so did its P/E. But I think that that recognition is now built into price and we should not look for a major expansion of p/e (mind you, I would not complain in the least should that happen).

So all we are left with is a paltry 50% plus growth rate to look forward to. The world is coming to an end <gasp!>.
