That is exactly what I said about the logo to my wife as we did our test opening of ANCR's homepage. Keeping in mind that there is a lot more to selling products than creating the best logo, there is an emotional response that takes place in the right side of the brain when one sees a logo. Even for those who deny having that "empty half", their body responds to that "creepy French guy" who is really a caricature of the "beat" generation and, therefore, a "Beatnik" (probably American). I really appreciate Mark's honest emotional response and I think Carla Kennedy had better find time to take a serious marketer's look at improving that logo. Given the whole spectrum of choices, who would accept a laid back "beatnik" to represent SPEED, ACCURACY, RESPONSIBILITY, RELIABILITY and WORK?!
No offense to the beat generation is intended. Thanks to them, there are thousands of people sitting around talking at length about the effects (or is it affects?) of advertising logos, while others are working on gigs of electrical gizmos and gadgets.

(Is it necessary to send a copy of this post to Carla or does she read this thread? I will do a marketing test of my own and wait one week for a private response from her.)
