Sammy, it's not MY book, my ancestors were mystics, I admit, but they worshipped Odin and believed in Valhalla and spit upon the stupid god of the Hebrews, the Christian god, Jesus, etc. They were Vikings.
And contrary to your allegations, Christianity does not teach selfishness. It teaches selflessness and that must, of necessity, be condemned.

I don't know who you are addressing, Sammy, but I'm certainly not a Christian. I oppose all mysticism including yours. Your "ancients" should be left to rot in their caves. Your ancients never helped Mankind progress, only stagnate. If your ancients were still in charge we'd all still be warring with slings and tending sheep.

Or that they would buy any brand of mysticism -- including yours.

I don't think ANY government sponsored welfare is moral. Private aid or assistance (charity) is fine.
