I wonder who is really the right kind of client for Datek. They don't have options, checking, BB stocks, touch-tone trading, and confirmations and statements take too long to arrive. This makes them unsuitable for any long term investors. They don't have level II, level I, and only route to Island for Nasdaq limit orders, and they seem to deny all responsibility when a trade gets screwed up. This makes them unsuitable for any day traders. Who is left? Amateur day trader wannabees? Datek needs to clean up their act.
