Shares issued 37,581,240 Jun 3 close $0.125
Thu 4 Jun 98 Company Review
Mr. John Ivany reviews the company
During the first two quarters, the company's technical team has analyzed
and gathered data from the 1997 exploration season. An exploration program
has been planned for the 1998 field season, subject to financing.
Cartaway plans to drill two further holes on the Cirque property, one from
the top of the Cirque wall and a second from the floor. A geophysical
consultant has recommended three holes but company personnel feel the third
hole will test the low grade mineralization intersected in drill hole
LBN-11 and will not add to their knowledge of the mineralization.
The mineralized lense intersected in drill hole CAN-12-1 on the
International CanAlaska Resources and International Freegold Mineral
Development option will be tested further north along strike and two
further anomalies recommended by the geophysical consultant will be drill
tested.
Five geophysical anomalies have been recommended for drill testing on the
LB-HJK property at Puttuaalu Brook.
Cartaway supervised a large loop, time domain electromagnetic and a
magnetic survey on the BR-E property under option to International
CanAlaska Resources which can earn a 50 per cent interest by expending the
next $500,000 on exploration. The survey located a magnetic conductor under
Pants Lake and a number of magnetic conductors in an east-west zone
associated with an olivine-gabbro sill. The data is being analyzed by a
geophysical consultant. The conductive zone is 7 kilometres south of the
Donner/Northern Abitibi discovery.
Plans are under way to carry out a ground geophysical survey during June to
evaluate a number of AEM anomalies in the Wilson Lake area of southern
Labrador.
