Dale,

The "500,000 by the end of Fiscal 1998 [9/98]" probably means total drives shipped. At their current rate they can easily hit that number. Then the 500,000 number for the quarter ending 12/98 refers to production capacity. Not necessarily that they will produce that many drives during the quarter, but that they will have capacity in place by the end of the quarter to produce that many drives. It's all just how you twist the words, and SyQuest is an expert at that.

What strikes me as odd is that they're still projecting losses even after they hit 500,000 drives per quarter. What will it take for them to make money?
