Farrell is going to have a month's worth of sales data to work with when it comes time to set the reserve for the Quest initial shipment. So channel checks will be interesting to see not only how well the game is selling, but how big the initial shipment is. THQ has a past history of accounting for a big initial shipment (ie, Madden '98) to smooth out quarterly earnings. Farrell can still be checking sales in mid-July to help him decide what is prudent to report for the June quarter. So I think people who are worrying about how many copies THQ can sell in three weeks of June are off-base. What matters more is how many copies sell through mid-July. What matters most, to me, is my opinion that the quarterly report will be another fine one that shows great growth, better revenue mix, and another big step towards $3 in 1998.

One week until EB is due to have the game on the shelves. Anyone know the current release date for Saga?
