AMD has is been increasing its marketing presence with its new TV ad campaign however it is currently limited in its scope of markets. Has anyone heard if they are expanding this campaign nationally. I feel this is key for the sucess of AMD's processors. Certianly the campaign in the print media has been of a national event lets hope they follow thru on the Tv front to. Also does any one know if AMD subsidizes OEM's advertising like Intel and if so are they increasing its size?

Marketing, pricing and manufacturing capacity are going to be the key to how much sucess the K5 and K6 achieve. Lets hope they have learned from Cyrix's pricing errors and Intels marketing machine. It was nice to hear AMD's idea of requiring OEM's to put an "AMD inside" like phrase on their machines using AMD processors. I agree that brand name awareness is a key to reaching out to establish new customers. I feel AMD still needs to increase its marketing and I assume they are waiting for volume production of the K6 before increasing their spending. This way they get a bigger bang for their buck. AMD has come a long way in regard to its marketing lets hope the have the resolve and go the distance.
