Sure Nancy,

Bring up DOW as chart. Click on the little window for functions underneath "TOOLS" and click on "Moving Average." Carry that to your chart and when it asks you for the parameters, use 17 for days and "weighted" for Method. I use dark blue for the color of this one.

Do the same thing but use 144 for days and "time series" for method. I use light blue for this one.

It's really not a formula as you would think of entering one in the function prep window but a canned indicator where you can specify the parameters...

I call it dirt dumb because there is no special trick to it and it works most of the time...
