What we are trying to determine is the earliest reasonable date that an announcement could* be made. That time window is now open, by my earlier argument.* Well, if LU's Shareholder meeting was in/near October, that might be a good date. ASND's Shareholder meeting was just held, so that's a bust. I have never seen a pre-announcement of intentions before a big deal because it a) skews the stock price, hence affecting the price of the deal, b) creates competitors who may have an interest in creating a bidding war, and c) is not good business fundamentals. I would say if there is a deal, it is more likely to be a Christmas present than a summer vacation... *** Are you an NN spy or just an ASND holder?
