I hate to say it but they would not accept that either as a solution. While not exactly asian in the true sense, I was stationed at Guam for 5 years. When the US government finished a sting operation and proved that the last 10 years of funds used for a highway that as far as I know is still not built, rent for the numerous Navy, Marine, Air Force, and NASA bases there etc were all being stolen by then Governor Bordallio in 1988 or else being funneled to his relatives the population got mad at the US government for exposing him. When it came time for him to go to jail, he tied himself to a statue of the founder of Guam and blew his head off. There are now memorials, statues and numerous other things dedicated to him and he is considered a hero of the people. This is the guy that was stealing money from them and he is a hero. Loved the island, got sick of the stupidity and corruption.

Kind of like a President lieing to his country after numerous affairs, obstructing justice and then getting the highest approval rating ever. Guess were not much better come to think of it.
