U know the more I read the more incredulous I become... JM will make sure we're ok... Amat is undervalued... Amat looks cheap... Amat's gonna duplicate its 96-96 run... looks like the semi's are trading at their lows... gotta keep hanging on 'cause its a fine company.... damn its a stock... not a cuddly toy... you buy it because its the best idea you can find... WHY IS AMAT THE BEST IDEA WE CAN FIND.... it trades at 20x expected earnings and rev's are declining... ie: it has a large cap growth stock multiple but is in fact not growing... JM is a great micro manager but needs laser corection for short sightedness... IMO the probability is that we ain't seen nothin' yet... again... dram capacity has got to come out of the marketplace, either cyrex or AMD has to give it up as Marvin said, and subsidy and protection has got to be eradicated so that endless profitless over-production ceases, and consolidation has to take place... look for this consolidation as a signal that a low has been reached.... even semi's can work out when stocks trade at a discount to assets
