Posters on the Yahoo Board handled this rumor well: skeptically. Most anyone can appear on Yahoo, create a profile, post without any reference, so spreading false rumors is easier there than here, because the source can be untraceable. None of the posters who alleged that they'd information about the raid could point to facts or sources other than "people at the company they knew." The rumor posters had no discoverable prior history there or anywhere, all of which the skeptical posters noted in the Yahoo thread. One even asked why the rumor poster didn't use SI if they were serious.

Whether the rumor is true or false, or an inflation of an administrative visit, I have no idea. I agree that if it were true, we'd see market action by institutional investors who have sources inside the company. A raid of the type described can't be kept a secret. Somebody always talks, even if its the janitor or the people in the neighboring office. And somebody with a stake can easily call the janitor or building manager or neighbors.

I was impressed with how competently the other Yahoo posters handled this rumor posted by someone or sometwo with no history or sources.
