George, I think all of us on this thread have had ambivalent feelings about the gold market which often goes opposite of conventional wisdom. However this particular gold market offers outstanding risk vs. rewards and also provides asset protection especially if the dollar devaluates. I have tried to find other investment vehicles for new seed capital and other than selected leap puts on selected stocks and the S&P 500 remain adding new money to either physical gold or selected gold stocks.

My feelings on China's devaluation is that it will happen due to market forces and this will add to market turmoil in Japan causing them to liquidate our treasuries and this will affect our bond and stock market and the value of the dollar. So I think that gold goes up with a Chinese devaluation. I am curious why you think gold goes down with China's devaluation. Please elaborate.

What continues to be the biggest potential mover and shaker in the gold market is the Euro. If this eventually brings the dollar down I think gold takes off. The only other big catalyst would be a Warren Buffet clone cornering the physical gold market. The current speculation on USA gold site is some unknown is taking delivery on some June gold contracts.

Terry,
