Tom - Gotta another one. How will a 28 yr old kid affect MU? In today's WSJ, pg B10, says that Fidelity on Friday removed Andrew Kaplan from Fidelity's Select Electronic's Fund ( 3.1 billion in assets). He was replaced by Matthew Grech, 28, who had been a stock analyst covering semiconductor equipment and electronics. Mr. Grech inherits a fund loaded with computer chip makers, such as Micron Technology, Inc. and Intel Corp., which have been hammered by declining chip prices. Expectations of further price drops mean the worst may not be over sor Select Electronics. As of March 31, Micron and Intel were Select Electronics largest and fourth-largest holdings respectively. OK....MU junkies, what impact will this 28 yr old have on MU over the coming month? Reduce their largest holding, or have they already reduced it? The article just makes me feel old, with a kid half my age in charge of over 3 billion in assets. Patrick |
