Paula,
There was only the announcement that they were going to buy the stock. After driving the stock to rock bottom prices, I guess that they feel that it will increase the percentage in ownership by the management if there are fewer shares outstanding.

Just the fact that the company has so much money on hand and does nothing to improve the business of the company does not speak well of the management. As much as I hate to see federal agencies formed, maybe one is really needed to oversee companies that claim to have large amounts of money and are making no efferts to improve the
quality of the stock. In my opinion, it would have been better if the money had just been paid as a dividend if the company had no plans for it.
