Paperchase,

I see your point about focusing on the top line. I know the company has been doing their homework w.r.t. the market. They have also been putting considerable effort into using VARs and others to market their arrays whereas this was all done directly by CPCI in the past.

I'm a little torn on the future of RAID-3. On the one hand it seems that drives are getting bigger and faster and this would seem to reduce the need for RAID, at least for some. CPCI however, is working at the top of the performance curve and it seems that the increase in network bandwidth is going to increase the need for RAID-3 arrays, at least in entertainment/post-production arena. Satellite/telemetry seems like a sector that should still be there for some time, but oil/gas, which has been the biggest growth area for CPCI of late, strikes me a little like medical imaging which was a flop in terms of need for arrays. BTW, Godzilla produced a terabyte of imagery per week during production!

I still don't see anything fundamentally wrong with the company but agree with you that they should focus on top line and building some backlog. Essentially all their orders are shipped within days or weeks so they are subject to every little dip and bump in orders.

Stuart.
