Just for the sake of argument,

- what if Nortel or ASND will buy WSTL and LU will lose a partner? - what about CSCO strength as a competitor to LU, which bought NetSpeed and has its own ADSL capability,
- what about Rockwell, wich bought PAIR's Falcon and pushing their own chips on V.90 modems?
- what if 3Com will buy WSTL and incorporate the technology into their X.2 line of modems

All this what ifs might be quite negative for LU. On the other hand LU might be after some big fishes, like ASND or BAY.
