CLEARWATER, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 5, 1998--NVID International, Inc. (OTC BB:NVID) announced Friday that a binding letter of intent has been signed with Environmental Health & Pollution Control Ltd. (EHPC Ltd.) of London, England to obtain distribution and manufacturing rights to a new generation of ionization equipment in the U.S. and Canada. The formal agreement should be completed within the next 60 days.

Upon terms and conditions described more particularly in the agreement, the agreement is renewable every two years based upon mutually agreed upon sales goals that grant NVID the right to manufacture and distribute the Random Metering System (RMS) throughout the U.S. and Canada. The RMS delivers silver and copper ions as a method of water disinfection, and is designed to reduce the need for chlorine. The systems will hopefully be a cost-effective way to disinfect large volumes of water in either single pass or re-circulation type water systems.

EHPC Ltd. has applied for a patent on the RMS ionization delivery system in the U.S., Canada and certain other countries. No patents have yet been issued. Installation sites that have been proven successful in England include a major airport, hospitals and a nationally known botanical center. Water treatment niches that require large quantities of water to be disinfected will now be targeted based upon the performance of the new technology. These markets include drinking water, horticulture, cooling waters, machine oils, pools and spas, reclamation of water and sewage effluent.

David Larson, President of NVID International, Inc. stated: "The RMS ionization system now allows NVID to address water treatment niches with large volume flow rates where precise ion levels are critical. The RMS system will hopefully give NVID competitive and differential advantages over conventional ionization systems because of control issues and the ability to treat large volumes of water economically."

The RMS systems is able to deliver a precise dosage of ions based upon flow rates. The ions are metered into the process water by metering pumps which insures that water being treated will have the exact parts per billion or parts per million of ion concentrate. Generation of the ion concentrate is produced "off-line" without using the process water, which enables the unit to produce ions much more effectively and efficiently as compared to conventional technology.

As part of the agreement with EHPC, NVID has the option to manufacture, market and distribute the RMS system under the name of Environmental Health & Pollution Control North America (EHPC North America).

This press release contains certain forward-looking statements with respect to the future activities of the company. These forward-looking statements by their very nature involve risks and uncertainties. These uncertainties include, but are not limited to, market acceptance, the ability to obtain patent protection, effectiveness of technology, and technology obsolescence. There is no assurance that NVID will be able to commercially exploit the agreement referred to above. As indicated in prior releases, NVID has limited financial resources.
