Bald, last year when the techs melted down and that is what you are dealing with this moment; last year, my porfolio of $21k was worth $7k and most everything I had was lower in the price than the stocks had ever traded at in their hisory! I was ready to jump off a cliff. Had I averaged down at that moment, I would have made a killing. Instead, I was so freaked out, I didn't buy anything and many of those stocks still haven't come back over were I bought them. I ended up selling at substantial losses in many. 1997 was a very bad year in the techs for anyone that didn't have balls of steel. I'm talking trading stocks, not going long for the year. It was a rough trading year.
