It seems that AMD could have the greatest success in the notebook market segment since K-6 fits into Intel's P54C socket. It allows a rapid time to market without significant redesign of the mother-board. * Our interviews suggest that AMD could sign up a portable PC vendor such as Compaq or Fujitsu sometime during 1Q97.
