Eric, >> Any comments on the interview? <<

Sure. I just re-read my posts for the last 30 days. All you, or anyone
else who cares to do same, just click-on my name.

Eric, if you recall I was to say the least (livid). Er... one post of mine sticks out, read: John Young's "boy". Now I see you mention this in your post. Here's what I said (and I believe I got "called" by someone on it). I don't think I was wrong (or too far off base - see below) I.E. I compared the situation to Michael Spindler and Apple.

I also indicated that I did NOT want to see Marengi get the CEO job,
I wanted a "high-profile" person.

Kenneth >> You cannot expect favorable treatment. <<

I don't mean to speak for Scott, but I REALLY don't think Scott (or
for that matter, ANY of us here, including you) are looking for favorable treament, i.e.
quarterly #'s etc..).

I think what we (I know I am) are looking for is a little RESPECT.
I think (I know I do) what people are looking for is some ACTION
in the media. Some visibility. And, I also think it would be VERY
good PR on the part of Novell management to communicate that to
it's shareholders. That's what I think (now I could be wrong, but..).

I think most people here have the feeling that, Marengi wanted the job, got it, wanted
Markman out, got it, and now he can do whatever
he wants because he's John Young's boy. You know. To me, it's like
the Michael Spindler thing. Remember that? You couldn't pry him outta there with a
crowbar because of the backing he got from that ONE
Board member.

So, I say, Who the hell does Marengi think he is? He is working for us, he should talk
to us. Simple, isn't it?

Joe <whatta' ya' think?>

So Eric, what do I think of it? Well, I think it sucks. I think Scott Mcnealy should be the CEO and tell everyone to go f*ck themselves <g>,
and I think the current board of directors of Novell, Inc. should be thrown out on their fat a$$e$ and replaced. NOW!

Cheers,

Joe...<actually Eric, this IS really how I feel>
