Jeff--Thanks for sharing your insights from the conference call. The average EPS projection of two analsysts for FY 97 is $1.93 (FirstCall). Your estimate is considerably different. Is this because your estimate is on a fully taxed basis? I finally had a chance to listen to the conference as well and was similarly impressed. There is increasing demand for Etec's leading edge products, their higher pricing structure is taking hold, and R&D spending will be 14% of revenues for FY 97 (an increase over FY 96, and in dollar terms, considerably more than FY 96), which I see to be good signs. I think we should keep an eye on their competition though, despite Etec's extraordinary dominance: ASM Lithography Hitachi Japan Electron Optical Laboratory I did add to my position today.
