Myriad advice is in these threads. Some good, some not so good. For one, i second TB's post. Will Gravis rise 50% in a matter of 3 weeks. TLTK should be a stable $10 by that point.
Second, read many threads. That's waht i did to help point me right direction. Third, to answer the question, we need to know your investment strategy. Are you in this for the short run? Long run? If in for the long run and you are a novice, I would suggest holding so you don't get burned after it falls into correection only to pick up again. Remeber that markets are efficient, as David posted a while ago.
Fourth, why has XLNX done so well for the period you watched it? Jumping in now is after a ride..but if they have earnings like TLTK, who cares. Consider your best alternatives. What do the past 4 quarterly peiods look like for a company you are looking at. Willl tey agrow in the future and why? Do they have long term debt? What is the market capitalizaition? What is the book value of the company. If it is less than the share price and the company gets some good earnings, then watch for the stock to zip up!!!!
Lastly, I never play it by ear...some others might and that's their own perogative. Research the company you're looking at. I just began subscriibing to the Savvy Investor for 2 reasons. One, to see what their track record is...TLTK is far and away so far their best since November when they recommended it at $1.25. Second, the more i read the info about other companies, it prompts questions that i should ask. Keep reading and you will get better at this.
It is such comfort to go to sleep at night now knowing that if TLTK falls tomorrow to $6.75 or so on low volume that statistically it almost means nothing. Forgetting that we know the company is a rocket ship. This concerns the day traders moreso.
Some might say I might loose sight of the emotional aspect of trading (Elliot's curve anyone?..not that i know more than that about it). I might get carried away with PE stuff...but how much better i can recommend a stock in the future to myself by doing this. We all have different trading styles and you ned to find yours. We are all risk takers by buying TLTK...I'm just less so than others....
Any more questions..ask... and maybe others can share their insight. |
