The AWE 32 interacts poorly with NT since it is a PNP ISA card. This entails installing a special PNPISA driver on NT. The install and driver upgrade procedures are not straightforward and have traps for the unwary (take this from the unwary<G>). I have no direct experience with the AWE 64, but it appears to be very similar from the documentation. I have also had problems with interaction with the PNP bios on a particular mobo, now fortunately put to rest. But don't take these too seriously. The point of my earlier message was that if you don't want wave-table synthesis, there are simpler and cheaper cards. These cards are some trouble, but so are many sound cards.
