Hi Mike,

Thanks for the reply and some more of your insights!!!! Glad I was able to give you something to smile about.

What do you think about the 300mm wafer factory that NEC has announced starting and to have up and running in a couple of years. The objective to produce 1 GIG DRAM. They are making a substantial investment. I have been trying to figure this out strategically and if NEC is fronting the money to build the factory there must be a more global objective. I will get the exact #'s but I read it in EE Times most recent issue. They are committing over $1B to build the factory in calif yet.

What is the big picture plan for the industry???? With all the obsolesce of mfg eqip and processes, it would appear that the semi equip mfgs would be among the first to benefit. Also Japan is committing big to RISC processors and ASIC for leapfrogging tech in the graphics technology....Do you have a view on any of these happenings or strategies???

Thanks Mike!!!

Regards

ChuckB.
