Wake up Reg. Time to take your temperature.
We've been having some debate about your claim that Microsoft is producing Internet (or is it "all") software products at 2:1 ratio over Netscape. "It doesn't take an engineer to know it." Remember?
You last contributed a list of 21 Microsoft programs under development or published, including such "focused" products as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and SQL Server. I'll give you those, with a chuckle.
Since you haven't been able to get on the Netscape site (can it be all the mirror sites are down?), I thought I'd help you out. It was hard to find eleven Netscape products, but at least I found these:
Netscape (They all start with "Netscape"):
Navigator, Navigator Gold. That's good for how many? Seven to ten platforms, plus LAN and Personal variations. That count beats your Microsoft ratio right there.
Then add Netscape Composer, Messenger, Collaborator, Conference, Calendar, AutoAdmin, Constellation, Media Player, Media Converter, Enterprise Server, Calendar Server, Catalogue Server, Certificate Server, Collabra Server, Directory Server, Proxy Server, Media Server, Messaging Server, Migration Toolkit, Live Wire, Live Wire Pro, FastTrack, Live Payment, Publishing System, Community System, Merchant System.
Multiply the above by the number of platforms each is written to. For instance, in the case of FastTrack it's five.
Looks to me like your statement was wildly off the mark.
